Process

Coming into this project, we knew we were shooting on a blue screen, though there was very much a big question mark as to how we were going to bring the blueprint world to life.

I created a series of modular room pieces that could be positioned & rotated in 3D space in After Effects to create a proper blueprint house for our talent Tre.This allowed us to make changes on the fly, and have full control in post-production.

The flexibility in post allowed us to have Tre appear to physically walk through the scene. We had a relatively small budget for this project, so I had to be creative to really push the production value.

Finishing Touches

Shadows were an important piece to having Tre feel grounded in the environment. We coordinated on-set to ensure we could pull clean shadows from the key to ground Tre in the environment realistically.

Cloth simulations were run in Cinema 4D to give a virtual element that could be interacted with physically.

Lastly, a set of supers were animated to help reinforce the copy throughout the spots.
